Devotional Materials

As a family, you may already follow a spiritual discipline of praying at meals or before bedtime, regularly reading from the Bible together, or engaging in acts of kindness toward others. If so, build upon what is offered here; if not, this can give you a great way to begin. The Way of Love is a resource from the Episcopal Church that helps you focus on seven steps of faithful living:

  • Turn: Pause, listen, and choose to follow Jesus
  • Learn: Reflect on scripture each day, especially on Jesus’ life and teachings
  • Pray: Dwell intentionally with God each day
  • Worship: Gather in community weekly to thank, praise, and dwell with God
  • Bless: Share faith and unselfishly give and serve
  • Go: Cross boundaries, listen deeply, and live like Jesus
  • Rest: Receive the gift of God’s grace, peace, and restoration

Download this free pdf, The Way of Love for Families, which has great suggestions for Bible readings to do at home with children, examples of prayers for morning, mealtime, and bedtime, and hundreds of specific suggestions for activities in each of the seven steps above.

We will be offering Zoom calls for formation and activities, stay tuned for details. Also, visit this All Saints post for a list of other good devotional materials. Please call the church office if we can help, or email us here.

Remember, As followers of Jesus, we are called to model Christ’s loving, non-anxious presence in and for the world, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty.

Blessings and peace,
Keith+
