All Saint Episcopal Church Omaha

Rector Search Committee

The search for a new rector for All Saints Episcopal Church Omaha has begun with the commissioning of a seven member committee.
Angie Deihl (co-chair), Michael Kresin (co-chair), Mollie Sultenfuss (Vestry), Woody Bradford, Bob Brown, Judy Stribley, and Jara Sturdivant-Wilson.
The search committee will receive training from Cannon  Liz Easton on April 20. The committee will take the lead, but the whole church will have a part in the search by completing the church "profile."
Please pray for the committee and for the person who will be chosen as our new rector.

First Meeting

The committee was commissioned on April 13-14 before the parish by The Rev. Dr. Darrel Proffitt. The search committee retreat was Saturday April 20, 2024. They met in the undercroft at All Saints directed by Cannon Liz Easton.
Ground rules for a search committee were discussed and how to keep the parish informed of their progress. The search is on!

The search committee is working closely with Canon Easton as the Parish Profile is nearing completion with the addition of suggested additions and photos to illustrate the finished product. The web site production company is adding photography to the profile and making final additions to the new web site. Canon Easton has suggested the new web site should roll out live as the Parish Profile is ready to post to announce All Saints is searching for a new rector.
Canon Easton and the Diocesan office assure us the search process is on schedule. As with taking a long road trip, sometimes the long road traveling through a barren landscape may seem slow and the destination may not appear soon enough for our wishes. We are living in a warp speed world and forget that the search process takes time through thought, prayer, and contemplation to produce the best possible results to represent All Saints Church as deserved.
Keep watch for the announcement the web site is going live, and the profile will be available to the parish and published by the Diocese.
