Praying the Rosary is a tactile aid to focus on prayer. Our minds naturally tend to wander, and it can help to have something we can hold onto physically – sometimes, just the touch of an item dedicated to prayer can remind us of the peace of God and put us in a prayerful frame of mind.
There are many forms of prayers to use with the Anglican Rosary; the prayers on this page are drawn from the Prayers and Collects for our nation, and from our Baptismal vows, in the Book of Common Prayer.

First Time - Heavenly Father, in Baptism you have raised us to the new life of grace. Sustain us, O Lord, in your Holy Spirit. Give us inquiring and discerning hearts, the courage to will and to persevere, a spirit to know and to love you, and the gift of joy and wonder in all your works. Amen.
Final Time - Almighty God, who has given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech you that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of your favor and glad to do your will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion us into one united people. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in your Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to your law, we may show forth your praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in you to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (BCP 820)
First Time - Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Amen.
Final Time - The Lord's Prayer
Lord God Almighty, you have made all the peoples of the earth for your glory, to serve you in freedom and in peace: Give to the people of our country a zeal for justice and the strength of forbearance, that we may use our liberty in accordance with your gracious will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (BCP 258)
Almighty God, make us always thankful for your loving providence, that we may be faithful stewards of your good gifts.
Grant us grace fearlessly to contend against evil and to make no peace with oppression.
Jesus, give us your wisdom, patience, and courage, that we may minister in your Name to the suffering, the friendless, and the needy.
Lord God, help us see that you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives.
Help us proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.
Help us seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves.
Help us strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.
