All Saint Episcopal Church Omaha

What is CIC like?

If you are looking for others that will listen to your thoughts on what the Bible means, you are in the right place.
We believe that everyone should have their say and we will listen before we comment. We don't agree with each other all the time, but respect each others opinion on any topic. We do avoid politics unless it is related to religious issues.

CIC meets each Tuesday at 8am in the Retreat Center and on zoom.
We discuss many topics having to do with the Bible and Religion.
Our moto is "listen before you speak."
We always start with a song, and end with "The Lord's Prayer."
All Christian men are welcome to join us. No special invitation is needed, just join us on zoom.

Praying Together

Christians are Friendly

We spend time before and after our meetings jus to talk with each other and find out about our families and friends. We are not all from the same church so we don't always see each other on Sunday or other church events .

Bring a Friend

We would love you to come and bring a friend with you. We have about 8 gentlemen but have had as many as 12. The more ideas we have the better for our discussions. We will be using zoom only until spring. See e-bulletin for link.

Weekly Activities

Week one and three of each month, we have presentations by volunteers. Everyone has the right to pass. These topics range from other religions to a book we have read.

Week 1 we do presentations, week 2-3 psalms and 4 we "Journey Through Genesis ." We are currently working our way through the Psalms. We have covered most of the Bible but are starting back over favorite books.

Should there be a 5th week during the month, we have open discussion and talk about any subject that seem pertinent. Mostly we end up talking about the news of the week from the religious perspective.

Projects

After the death of one of our members, Deacon Frank Murphy, the members did a fund drive and built the Stations of The Cross at All Saints.
We have also invested in Kiva.
